1. COMPETITION PERIOD
1.1. The Salty Rugby Runner leaderboard competition (“Competition”) commences on 28 August 2026.
1.2. The Competition will close on 28 November 2026 at 23:59 SAST (UTC+2).
1.3. Only eligible and valid scores achieved during the Competition Period will be considered for the Competition.
1.4. Any score achieved or submitted after 23:59 SAST (UTC+2) on 28 November 2026 will not qualify for the Competition.
1.5. The Competition is based on each player’s highest valid score recorded during the Competition Period.
1.6. The leaderboard may remain accessible after the Competition closes; however, the final leaderboard and rankings will be subject to verification by Salty Bushwear.
1.7. The leaderboard displayed during or after the Competition is provisional and does not constitute final confirmation of a player’s ranking or entitlement to a prize.
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1. To qualify for the Competition and any prize, a player must be a registered user of the Salty Rugby Runner Game.
2.2. Players who participate as guests may play the Game but are not eligible to win or receive any Competition prize.
2.3. Players must have a valid registered account when their qualifying score is achieved and when winners are verified.
2.4. Players must accept the Salty Rugby Runner Terms and Conditions during registration.
2.5. A player may not create or use multiple accounts for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in the Competition.
2.6. Salty Bushwear reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of any potential winner before awarding a prize.
2.7. Salty Bushwear reserves the right to disqualify any player who is found to have provided false, misleading or fraudulent information in connection with the Competition or their Game account.
3. LEADERBOARD AND WINNERS
3.1. The Competition is determined by the highest valid scores recorded on the official Salty Rugby Runner leaderboard during the Competition Period.
3.2. At the close of the Competition, the three highest-ranking eligible players with verified valid scores will qualify for:
1st Place — R10,000 online voucher
2nd Place — R6,000 online voucher
3rd Place — R4,000 online voucher
3.3. Being displayed in a prize position on the leaderboard does not automatically make a player a winner.
3.4. The top three positions will be subject to score and eligibility verification by Salty Bushwear.
3.5. If a player’s score is found to be invalid, the player may be disqualified and the position may be awarded to the next highest eligible player with a valid score.
3.6. The leaderboard displayed during or after the Competition is provisional and does not constitute final confirmation of a player’s ranking or entitlement to a prize.
3.7. Final rankings and winners will only be determined after Salty Bushwear has completed its verification process.
3.8. In the event that multiple players have the same qualifying score, Salty Bushwear may use available Game records, timestamps or other reasonably available technical information to determine the applicable ranking.
4. SCORE VALIDITY AND FAIR PLAY
4.1. All scores must be achieved through normal, legitimate gameplay using the Game as intended.
4.2. Players may not use any method, software, tool, exploit or technique that provides an unfair advantage.
4.3. Salty Bushwear may investigate any score that appears suspicious, impossible, manipulated, fabricated, fraudulent or inconsistent with normal gameplay.
4.4. A score may be declared invalid if Salty Bushwear reasonably determines that it was obtained through cheating, manipulation, exploitation, fabrication, fraud or unauthorised interference.
4.5. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
Using bots or automated gameplay;
Using scripts, macros or cheat software;
Modifying the Game or Game files;
Manipulating the score or score submission process;
Manipulating PlayFab or leaderboard data;
Using browser developer tools to alter gameplay, scores or Game data;
Exploiting bugs or glitches to obtain an unfair advantage;
Interfering with the Game’s servers or systems;
Intercepting or modifying Game communications;
Using another player’s account;
Creating multiple accounts to gain a competitive advantage;
Colluding with other players to manipulate Competition results;
Using unauthorised third-party software, hardware or services to alter or influence gameplay;
Attempting to bypass, disable or interfere with any security or anti-cheating measures;
Falsifying Game records or other technical information;
Submitting or claiming a score that was not achieved through legitimate gameplay; or
Any other activity intended to circumvent the normal Game mechanics or scoring system.
4.6. FAKE, FABRICATED OR FRAUDULENT SCORES
4.6. Any score that is fabricated, falsified, artificially created, manually altered or otherwise misrepresented as a legitimate Game score will be considered invalid and will not qualify for the Competition.
4.7. This includes, but is not limited to:
Submitting a score that was not actually achieved through legitimate gameplay;
Manually altering, editing or manipulating screenshots, photographs, videos or other evidence of a score;
Falsifying or manipulating Game, PlayFab or leaderboard data;
Submitting another player’s score as one’s own;
Using false, misleading or fraudulent information to support a claimed score;
Attempting to create a false leaderboard position through technical manipulation or unauthorised methods;
Claiming a score that cannot reasonably be verified against available Game or server records;
Reproducing, generating or otherwise creating a score outside the normal Game mechanics;
Using manipulated or fabricated evidence to attempt to establish that a score was legitimately achieved; or
Any attempt to deceive Salty Bushwear regarding the legitimacy, ownership or origin of a score.
4.8. Screenshots, photographs or videos of leaderboard positions or scores will not, on their own, be considered conclusive proof of a valid Competition score. Salty Bushwear may rely on the Game’s official records, PlayFab records, server-side data, timestamps, account information, gameplay data and other technical information when determining whether a score is genuine and valid.
4.9. If a submitted or recorded score cannot be verified as having been achieved through legitimate gameplay, Salty Bushwear reserves the right to declare the score invalid, remove it from the leaderboard and disqualify the player from the Competition.
4.10. Where a player is found to have intentionally submitted or represented a fake, fabricated or fraudulent score, Salty Bushwear may disqualify that player from the Competition regardless of whether the player would otherwise have qualified for a prize.
4.11. Salty Bushwear reserves the right to remove any invalid, fraudulent, fabricated, manipulated or otherwise illegitimate score from the leaderboard.
4.12. A player whose score is invalidated may be disqualified from the Competition and will not be eligible for a prize based on that score.
4.13. If an invalid score occupies a prize position, the next highest eligible player with a valid score may be promoted to that position.
4.14. If cheating, score manipulation, fraud or the submission of a fake score is discovered after a prize has been awarded, Salty Bushwear reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to take appropriate action, including requesting the return of the prize.
4.15. A player may be disqualified even if their invalid activity did not ultimately result in them winning a prize.
5. SCORE VERIFICATION
5.1. Following the Competition closing date, Salty Bushwear will review the scores of the highest-ranking players before confirming the winners.
5.2. Verification may include reviewing:
Game session records;
PlayFab records;
Score submission data;
Score timestamps;
Player account information;
Gameplay data;
Leaderboard history;
Server-side records;
Technical logs;
Patterns of gameplay or scoring; and
Other technical information reasonably available to Salty Bushwear.
5.3. The players occupying the top three positions will be considered potential winners until the verification process has been completed.
5.4. Only players whose eligibility and scores have been successfully verified will be confirmed as winners.
5.5. Salty Bushwear may request reasonable additional information from a potential winner where necessary to verify their identity, account ownership or eligibility.
5.6. If Salty Bushwear is unable to reasonably verify a score or determine that it was achieved through legitimate gameplay, the score may be declared invalid.
5.7. Salty Bushwear reserves the right to conduct additional verification where a score appears unusually high, suspicious or inconsistent with expected Game performance.
5.8. The decision of Salty Bushwear regarding the validity of a score and a player’s eligibility will be made based on the information and technical records reasonably available to Salty Bushwear and will be subject to applicable law.
6. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
6.1. The winners will be announced on 30 November 2026.
6.2. Winners may be announced through Salty Bushwear’s official website, social media channels or other official communication channels.
6.3. Salty Bushwear may publish the winner’s registered player/display name when announcing the Competition results.
6.4. Salty Bushwear may contact winners using the contact information associated with their registered Game account.
6.5. Winners may be required to provide reasonable information necessary to verify their identity and arrange delivery of their prize.
6.6. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period, fails to provide information reasonably required for verification, or is found to be ineligible, Salty Bushwear may disqualify the player and select the next highest-ranking eligible player with a verified valid score.
7. PRIZES
7.1. The verified players finishing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be eligible for the applicable Competition prizes.
7.2. The Competition prizes are:
1st Place — R10,000 online voucher
2nd Place — R6,000 online voucher
3rd Place — R4,000 online voucher
7.3. Prizes are not transferable unless otherwise stated by Salty Bushwear.
7.4. Prizes may not be exchanged for cash unless expressly permitted by Salty Bushwear or required by applicable law.
7.5. If a potential winner is found to be ineligible or has an invalid score, the next highest eligible player with a valid score may be considered for the relevant prize.
7.6. Salty Bushwear reserves the right, where reasonably necessary and subject to applicable law, to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or similar value.
8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
8.1. Registration for the Salty Rugby Runner Game requires the player to accept these Terms and Conditions.
8.2. Only registered users who have accepted these Terms and Conditions are eligible to compete for Competition prizes.
8.3. Guest players may play the Game but their scores will not qualify for Competition prizes.
8.4. By registering and accepting these Terms and Conditions, the player confirms that they understand and agree to the Competition rules, including the rules regarding score verification, invalid scores, fake scores and cheating.
8.5. By participating in the Competition, players agree that Salty Bushwear may review relevant Game and account data for the purpose of verifying Competition scores, eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

Cheating: Invalid, manipulated, exploited, fabricated or cheated scores may be removed and the player may be disqualified.
Fake scores: Fabricated, falsified, manually altered or otherwise misrepresented scores are invalid and may result in immediate disqualification.
Score verification: Salty Bushwear may review Game, PlayFab, server, account, timestamp and other reasonably available technical records to verify scores.
Final results: Subject to verification by Salty Bushwear.
Leaderboard: The displayed leaderboard is provisional until the verification process has been completed.
Right to disqualify: Salty Bushwear reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to disqualify players and remove invalid scores where Competition rules have been breached.
10. GENERAL
10.1. Salty Bushwear reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the Competition where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, technical failures, fraud, abuse, security concerns or other circumstances affecting the proper operation or integrity of the Competition, subject to applicable law.
10.2. Salty Bushwear will not be responsible for scores that are lost, corrupted, delayed or not recorded due to technical failures, network problems, server issues, device issues or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
10.3. Players are responsible for ensuring that they have a stable internet connection and are using a compatible device and browser to participate in the Game.
10.4. Any attempt to interfere with the integrity, security or operation of the Game or Competition may result in immediate disqualification.
10.5. Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
10.6. These Terms and Conditions are subject to applicable South African law.
